Self-propelled mowers are technically walk-behind types, as are old-fashioned push or manual models, each with several advantages and disadvantages.

2. Are self propelled mowers worth it?

There are a number of pros and cons of self-propelled lawn mowers. On the plus side, they make the job easier, help you mow your lawn faster, are great for hills and slopes, and can result in a more even cut. On the downside, they're heavier, cost more and it's just one more thing to go wrong.

3. How much should I pay for a self propelled lawn mower?

Self-Propelled Mower Cost and Brands The added parts and additional engine power mean self-propelled mowers cost more than a standard push mower, but far less than a riding lawn mower. Expect to pay $300 or more for a self-propelled mower, and up to $1,200 for brand name models loaded with additional features.

4. Is self propelled better than push?

Most push mowers are a good deal lighter than self-propelled mowers. They also take less fuel as well as require fewer repairs and oil changes. Not only are they easier to push than self-propelled, but they are also altogether much more simple. That means that they are easier to work on as well.
