Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What wax is used for floating candles?

What wax is used for floating candles? Like tea lights, most floating candles are made with cheap, paraffin wax that isn't the healthiest to burn in your home.

2. What candles to use for floating candles?

Votive or Pillar candles would not be able to float even though they displace water because they are top heavy, so they would tip into the water. There are some tealight candles that can float, but the best choice is a traditional floating candle!

3. Do floating candles drip wax?

Floating candles float atop the pool water, they burn within the center of the candle with no overflow wax dripping outside the candle, and they burn until the bottom of the candle gets thin and the water seeps inside to extinguish the flames.
