Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What is the best material used in doormat making?

While there are different materials from which the surface of a door mat can be constructed, two of the best and most popular for commercial and home matting are polypropylene and nylon.

2. What type of doormat is best?

Doormats that have a raised weave or feature heavy duty bristles are the best for removing dirt and mud. You will want a mat that can handle heavy scraping. Avoid natural fibers for this job, like coir, as they will break down more quickly with heavy use and moisture exposure.

3. What is PVC matting?

PVC Matting. PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) matting is an attractive, vibrant and hardwearing alternative to rubber matting; it is a popular flooring option for homes and business.

4. Are coir mats good indoors?

Good quality matting is a worthwhile investment as it protects your interior floor coverings from dirt and damage and reduces the amount of time you have to spend cleaning. ... If you can only purchase one mat then choose coir as it has an excellent scraping action and is still absorbent, but less so than a washable mat.
