Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Do shower curtains come in longer lengths?

An extra long shower curtain most often measures 70″ by 84″. This is also the same measurement for an extra tall shower curtain. Other sizes for an extra long are 72″ by 84″. Extra long shower liners can measure 144″ by 72″, which provide more material to keep water from going where its not wanted.

2. What lengths to shower curtains come in?

There are 3 standard shower curtain sizes, and they are 70 x 70 inches, 70 x 72 inches, and 72 x 72 inches. One of these 3 sizes will work for the showers found in most homes. However, there are exceptions, and you may need a different size if you have an oversized shower, stall shower, or a curved curtain rod.

3. How do I extend the length of my shower curtain?

Use String Or Ribbon Instead of Shower Rings and Adjust the Length to Fit. If you have some extra ribbon or string sitting around, you can use them to lengthen your shower curtain. Using ribbons or strings will make it easy to get the exact length you want.

4. How long should a shower curtain be for a walk in shower?

To start with, you'll want to look for extra-long curtains as standard-size curtains are usually designed for tubs and, at around 72 inches in length, will be too short for most walk-in showers. You'll probably need to purchase curtains that are at least 78 inches in length, but don't just take my word for it.
