They come in a variety of sizes and treads to suit different riding styles and terrains. While they may be slightly more expensive than traditional tyres, their convenience and durability make them a worthwhile investment for avid cyclists.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Are foldable tyres good?

Folding tyres have some benefits over rigid tyres that riders may prefer. They are often lighter than rigid tyres, which can improve riding performance. Some riders find it easier to fit folding tyres, with the Kevlar bead proving more manoeuvrable than a metal bead.

2. What is a foldable bike TYRE?

A folding tire is a special version of the clincher tire. The wire bundle is replaced by a bundle of Kevlar strands. This enables the tire to be folded up and depending on the tire size, makes it approx. 50-90 g lighter.

3. Why are folding tyres better?

Folding are so much better, you can use your fingers to get them on and off so you don't damage rims or tubes and it's so much quicker too. Guess what tyres I replaced the wired ones with… yep, folding! For every person that swears folders are easier to get off rims there's one that will swear they're harder.
