Candles burn best when the wick is kept centered and trimmed to ¼" or less. We use a coreless wick made from cotton and paper filaments. Many wicks have a thin zinc wire running through the center to help keep them stiff. Vapors from burning metal may not be good for you, so we use coreless wicks. If a large melt pool develops, the wick may occasionally lean over. If this happens, simply blow out the candle, re-center the wick, and allow to cool. The candle will then be as good as new!
