[Why you need] You can check the roughness and noise of bearing inside precisely by putting a bearing on the tool and turning it round with a finger. With this tool, you can clean bearings very quickly and compleately because you can spray with a cleaner as making bearings get high speed rotation.
[How to use] Put the bearing on bearing check tool and spin it with a finger tip while it is positioned vertically. The bearing should spin smoothly, freely and without noise. Holding the bearing vertically, slowly rotate the bearing while grasping it between a fingertip and thumb.
[How to judge the bearings problem] If you feel a rough spot when on check, there may be some problems of bearing: 1. the bearing is still fouled with hard debris (sand, metal, etc.); 2. a ball is damaged; 3. the retainer (cage) is bent, or a race is flaked (e.g. dented). You need re-clean the bearing and repeat both checks again. If the bearing fails either of the two checks, you may need to replacing it.
