Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What kind of towels should I use for my baby?

Most baby towels feature hoods that stay on little one's heads easily. Plus, baby towels are generally smaller and softer than adult-size bath towels, which makes it easier to wrap your child up quickly after a bath. As for washcloths, it's always a good idea to have several at the ready.

2. Do babies need special towels?

Having a set of designated "baby towels" helps keep baby healthier and less likely to catch a cold or worse. Newborns tend to poop and pee a lot. If you like the way your towels look now, consider investing in some towels specifically for baby that you can get rid of when they're grown.

3. What size towel does a baby need?

Most baby towels are a standard size of roughly 30 inches by 30 inches. There isn't much variation because well, it's a towel, but toddler towels can be quite a bit bigger. It's a good idea to double check measurements if you're shopping for a brand-new infant since a toddler towel will be much too large.

4. Do babies need special wash cloths?

A regular washcloth may seem pretty small, but attempt to use it on a teeny-tiny child and you'll be shocked at how bulky and oversized it becomes. Baby washcloths are sized “just right” for little ones, so it's worth keeping a significant stash on hand alongside your hooded baby bath towels.
