Tungsten soft darts are a popular choice among avid dart players due to their high durability and precision. These darts are made from a tungsten alloy, which is denser than other metals commonly used in dart manufacturing. The increased density allows for a smaller barrel size, resulting in tighter groupings and more accurate throws. The soft tips also make them safer for use in households with children or pets, as they are less likely to cause damage to walls or furniture. Overall, tungsten soft darts are an excellent investment for anyone looking to improve their game and enjoy a long-lasting set of darts.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Are tungsten darts better?

Tungsten is an extremely dense metal, considerably more so than brass or nickel; this increased density allows more weight in a smaller (thinner) barrel, making close grouping easier while maintaining the weight and minimising bounce-outs. These high-density tungsten darts resist wear far better than brass or nickel.

2. Are tungsten darts better than steel?

Tungsten darts will be more durable, offer a more extensive range of machine knurling patterns that provide better grip with less potential for slipping, and over time, make you a better darts player.

3. What is the heaviest soft tip dart?

The legal weight limit of your major overseeing organizations is 50 grams. Soft tip darts are measured by weighing the entire dart including the barrel, flight and shaft. The weights being used to play soft tip darts are most commonly 16, 18 and 20 grams and are much lighter than their steel tip counterparts.

4. Do tungsten darts break?

Very high percentages of tungsten, such as 98% tungsten darts, have a wonderful dense feel and a surface that resists wear for a long time. However, the high concentration of tungsten powder also makes them brittle, and more prone to break if dropped on hard surface such as a concrete garage floor.
