Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Is recessed lighting outdated?

Recessed lighting will never go out of style. However, the finishes and sizes will vary and change as time goes by. There are too many advantages of having the lighting recessed for them to eventually go out of style or phase out.

2. Which light is better round or square?

When comparing the luminous efficacy of square and flat panels to round panels, it is clear that the square or flat panels have higher luminous efficacy. Choose from the hundreds of panel designs available at Jaquar. However, the circular panel will, on average, outperform the LED lights in terms of efficiency.

3. What is the difference between a can light and a recessed light?

Recessed lights, also known as can lights, are described as metal light housings installed in the ceiling for a sleek look that gives you back your ceiling. Their diameter generally varies from 3” to 6.”
