Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. When can a child use a step stool?

How old/tall is your child? Children as young as 10-12 months (and even younger) who are steady on their feet can use a stool to reach the counter if it is tall enough. Learning towers are a good choice for children of this age for safety.

2. What should a step stool look like?

The first consideration when choosing a step stool is storage. If you are going to keep your step stool under a counter, choose molded or non-folding step stools. However, choose a folding step stool if space is an issue. Folding step stools collapse and flatten for easy storage in storage closets and cabinets.
