Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What type of harness is best for a Boxer?

We recommend double clips, double D-Ring harnesses for a powerful Boxer dog. More below. Dual Clip: Dual clip harnesses are our preferred model for Boxers. They allow you to attach your leash or lead to the front of the harness to persuade your dog not to pull.

2. How do I stop my Boxer from pulling on the leash?

Stop whenever your Boxer strains on the leash. Resume walking when your Boxer moves close enough that the leash becomes slack again. Reward calmly but profusely with treats and praise whenever your dog stays beside you. If your dog is pulling like a maniac, do an abrupt about-face and stride in the opposite direction.

3. Can you use a gentle leader on a Boxer?

Gentle Leader Head Collar The cool thing about this collar is it has a clip where you can adjust the tightness around the muzzle. This collar also has adjustments around the ears to fit a wide range of dogs. This type of dog collar was always more practical for both my Boxers.
