You should only use screws with a tensile strength/yield strength of 8.8 or better (9.8, 10.9 or 12.9) for motorbikes. Low-value screws, which are readily obtainable from a DIY store for example, are of an insufficient quality (too soft). Steel nuts are identified by their tensile strength.
